Art and Norita Johnson, Reid and Audree Alter, Linda Adams and her sister Lu Ann.Thanks to newcomers Leslie LaCount and Kari Hill.
Special thanks to my Mom for driving with me all over the countryside collecting data for this website.
Extra special thanks to my bride for just plain putting up with me!
One of the highlights of my 46 month quest is meeting you all personally and exchanging information.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Special Note: I take my role in this website very seriously. I do not enter personal information about any living relative
without their permission.
If you see personal information you do not want to share including your name simply notify me at the e-mail address listed here.
I will remove the information immediately. I apologize in advance for any errors.
We had a very interesting 2004 summer. Dad, Judy, Jan & I went to Norway and England. We visited Steinar and Inger-Jo Andresen in Drummen.
Their hospitality was second to none. They really made our trip very special.
We also went to Grua where the Sorensen's hailed from. No relatives left here. Went to Soknedal where the Bordal's
Solum's, Berg's, Fossum's and Gilseth's came from. Soknedal is gorgeous as are the Norweigian's we met along the way.
They were very friendly and went out of their way to help us. We then drove the coast to Bergen and caught a Ferry to New Castle England.
We went to York and surrounding areas which is where George Colbert originally came from. It was all the more special to
share this with my family.
Last October 2004 I met with Fred & Ruth Davis and Ruth & Missy Solum in Eau Claire for a Colbert Reunion.
We shared alot of information and photo's. Cora May Colbert past away in 2001 and left her photo's to Ruth & Missy
Some of these pictures could only have come from Cora Bell Colbert (Thatcher).
Our plans for next October 7, 8 & 9 2005 are again to meet in Eau Claire. If you are or might be interested e-mail me for details.
As always thanks to all of you that have met with me and shared information about our family history.
It's one of the greatest things about this website.
Without further ado I'd like you all to meet George Colbert. The photo above came from Ruth and Missy Solum's collection.
Writing on the card says gran pa colbert on the front and gran pa george colbert on the back.
Have been doing alot of research lately on the Roy Colbert/Edith Livingston family. Thanks to Denny, Leslie, Brenda and Cheryl
for including me in this circle of detectives. I have not updated the Livingston line to it's fullest yet.
Thanks to Donna Webb for her part on the Matson side of my family. My Grandma Blanche was a Matson girl and I Loved her dearly.
Shannon/Larson/Pederson Family Reunion this past August was a blast.
Reunion at Eau Claire in October 2005 was fantastic. Finally laid out the Livingston information gathered this past year.
David Colbert, his two daughters Marsha and Carol with husband Joey and their beautiful little daughter Elizabeth
were in attendence from FL as were Fred and Ruth Davis from MO and Ruth and Missy Solum from WI.
I'm working on an update to this site.
I've been workig with Family Tree Maker Version 16. It is an excellent program. Unfortunetly it does not let me upload directly to this site.
This has been a very serious problem for me. It automatically uploads to Ancestry.com with a limit of 2000 names and no link to the living.
I have managed to download a GEDCOM file to my old program Gen 8. This software was abandoned by Sierra a couple years ago. My goal to add photos
remains a challenge. Bear with me the past year has been a little slow in the development of this website. My Mom passed away last Feb.
and my type "A" wife leaves me very little time to update this anyways.
As always enjoy the site and get back to me with your input. We have Family History to Explore!
